For the health and safety of the annual Lehigh Valley Ingathering, participating churches have decided that each individual church should only collect for one organization this year. Shepherd of the Hills is collecting for Ripple Community Center in Allentown. Ripple serves those who are experiencing homelessness, mental illness, experiencing significant trauma or other conditions which leave them isolated and alone. Below is a list of items needed for this organization. If you have any questions regarding the Ingathering, please speak to Karen Haberern, Cheryl Reisinger or Linda Forand.
A joyful noise bucket will be in the narthex to also purchase two gifts for children at Kids Peace and for every child there to receive a goody bag containing candy, decks of playing cards, washable markers, colored pencils, crayons, chapstick, etc. We will also donate $25 to purchase items in lieu of some churches that are unable to participate this year due to the pandemic.
Please bring item(s) by Sunday, November 15: Small packages of cookies, pretzels or chips; Ramen noodle cups and macaroni and cheese cups; juice boxes; cans or bags of ground coffee (no K cups); powdered creamer, 10-16 oz.; bags or packets of sugar, box of hot chocolate packets; small/travel size toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash and shaving cream; disposable razors, new men and women's underwear (any size); batteries (AA, AAA, D); hand and foot warmers; gloves, mittens, hats and scarves; washable markers colored pencils or crayons
